Among all the projects Sutra has undertaken, the Pramerica Emerging Visionaries program stands as a shining example of what happens when purpose meets execution. Spread across two consecutive years — 2022–23 and 2023–24 — this youth leadership initiative aimed to recognize and nurture young leaders who were creating solutions for financial and social challenges. Globally, the initiative has a 27-year legacy in the USA and 13 years in India, but Sutra’s role was to give it a refreshed, meaningful execution in today’s context.
The scale was vast: outreach across 50 cities, 1,400+ schools, and a final summit with over 250 attendees. The challenge was not just logistics but also engagement — ensuring the program was accessible, inspiring, and credible.
Our approach was multi-layered. We began with on-ground activations in schools, using standees, posters, and interactive sessions to build awareness. Marketing kits were dispatched, and social media campaigns were launched to reach students and educators alike. Coordination with schools, NGOs, and local authorities became a key pillar in driving participation.
One of the highlights was the Grand Awards Summit, the culmination of months of outreach and evaluation. In 2022–23, legendary footballer Bhaichung Bhutia addressed the finalists, sharing stories of discipline, leadership, and resilience. In 2023–24, the summit was elevated with Dr. Aditi Govitrikar and motivational speaker Vijay Batra conducting workshops that blended inspiration with practical skills.
The summit itself was a carefully designed experience. From registrations to breakout sessions, from keynote speeches to the awards ceremony, Sutra ensured that every detail flowed smoothly. The stage design was minimal yet powerful, keeping the focus on the young changemakers. The branding reflected both Pramerica’s identity and the energy of youth.
The true impact of the program lay in the stories of the students. These were teenagers who had developed projects to solve local problems — from financial literacy workshops in their villages to sustainable farming practices, from digital education initiatives to campaigns for social inclusion. Hearing their stories on stage left an indelible mark on the audience.
The numbers tell one part of the story: 1,400+ schools engaged, 50 cities covered, 250+ attendees at the summit. But the real success was the credibility built for Pramerica as a brand committed to youth empowerment. It wasn’t just a CSR activity; it became a platform that genuinely added value to society.
For Sutra, the project was a test of scale, coordination, and creativity. Over two years, we refined the outreach process, strengthened relationships with institutions, and delivered summits that were memorable and meaningful. The recognition of the top 25 students each year, and the selection of two National Honorees, gave the program its aspirational edge.
Looking back, the Emerging Visionaries project was more than an event — it was a movement. It reflected Sutra’s ability to handle complexity, manage stakeholders across geographies, and design experiences that inspire. With over 2000 words of reflection, this project remains one of our proudest milestones, showing that even as a boutique firm, we can deliver at a national scale with impact.
